After Reorganization, Corporate Fraud Gets a Closer Look: New Enforcement Policies from DOJ's National Fraud Enforcement Division - Freshfields

DOJ Targets 40 Foreign-Born Americans in Denaturalisation Push

The US Department of Justice has sought to strip citizenship for 40 foreign-born Americans facing criminal allegations, one of the most assertive denaturalisation efforts in recent years. The department's newly reorganised National Fraud Enforcement Division also issued a corporate enforcement directive, pointing to closer oversight of corporate fraud.

In a separate development, the Ninth Circuit put on hold a court order that would have reinstated a dismissed Seattle federal prosecutor. The three actions together reflect a busy period for the DOJ across immigration, white-collar enforcement, and personnel disputes.
