Brookfield Plans to Repower Prince Wind Facility
Brookfield BRP Canada Corp. has! announced plans to repower the Prince Wind facility to deliver renewable energy until 2050 and beyond.
The goal is to keep the facility in operation for 20-plus years.
- Public meeting: November 13
- Location: Steelton Room of the Northern Community Centre, 556 Goulais Ave.
Brookfield plans to submit the project to the Independent Electricity System Operator’s competitive procurements in 2026.
Construction is expected to start in 2028 and end in 2030, pending approval from the IESO and completion of environmental screening.
