Train Crew Member Hailed as Hero
A train crew member, Samir Zitouni, known as Sam, was seriously injured while protecting passengers during a mass stabbing on a London North Eastern Railway (LNER) train.
The incident occurred on Saturday in Cambridgeshire, while the train was traveling from Doncaster to London. According to his employer, Samir, a 48-year-old customer experience host, "did not hesitate as he stepped forward to protect those around him".
He has been credited with helping to save multiple lives after passengers came under threat.
