Waymo Expands Robotaxi Services to New Cities
Waymo LLC announced it's bringing its autonomous ride-hailing service to Las Vegas, San Diego, and Detroit.
The company has started driving in each city with a mixed fleet of Jaguar I-PACE and Zeekr RT vehicles equipped with its sixth-generation Waymo Driver.
- San Diego: expected to begin serving riders next year
- Las Vegas: expected to begin serving riders in summer 2026
- Detroit: no timeline shared for serving riders
Waymo also shared its plans to bring robotaxi services to London in 2026.
Each deployment starts with mapping the city, which its AVs use to keep track of their location at all times.
