Blair County Requests Equipment from Closing SCI Rockview
During a budgeting session, Commissioner David Kessling announced that Blair County sent a letter to the state Department of Corrections, requesting to take equipment from the closing SCI Rockview near State College.
The closure of SCI Rockview and Quehanna Boot Camp is a cost-saving measure for the 2025-26 state budget, and neighboring counties can repossess unnecessary equipment, according to Kessling.
