Auckland City Rail Link to Offer 5G Connectivity
Commuters on the Auckland City Rail Link will have access to 5G phone connection from underground.
Auckland Transport Chief Executive Dean Kimpton notes that this will enable passengers to stay in touch and stream, as well as provide crucial connectivity for real-time train tracking and emergency communications.
- Installation work includes over 350 radio transmitters.
- These transmitters are connected by 74 kilometres of cabling.
