According to Sean Walsh, RADiCAIT's CEO, the current process of PET scans is a logistical nightmare for patients. The process involves fasting for 4-6 hours, being injected with radioactive material, waiting for an hour, and then lying still for 30 minutes in the PET scanner.
The challenges are even greater for patients living in rural areas where access to PET scanners is limited. RADiCAIT aims to change this by making diagnostic imaging more accessible and affordable.
