A potent Pacific storm hit the region late Friday night and early Saturday, bringing strong winds, thunderstorms, and power outages to south King County.
According to meteorologist Michael Snyder of Pacific Northwest Weather Watch,
the system developed from a jet stream and “brought some strong gusts”that affected areas like Normandy Park and SeaTac. Snyder's own home in Normandy Park was damaged, with his skylight ripped off during the wind event.
