North Melbourne lost to Collingwood at Marvel Stadium on Friday night, an unexpected defeat. Collingwood took a late lead, clinching the victory to win the game, in the final quarter. The Kangaroos left Ben McKay out, limiting their rotation but still, despite the effort could not keep up with the faster play, leaving them trailing. Nick Larkey struggled from the start, looking out of sorts. He missed his first three shots, failing to hit the goal before the end, in quick succession. His misses meant North couldn’t get enough points, sealing their fate to stay in the game, in the dying minutes. The loss ends any hope of a win, dashing any belief, for a win. Supporters left feeling let down, disappointed and frustrated, by the night, with a heavy heart.
