A plane from Air Canada skidded off the taxiway at Montreal-Trudeau Airport on July 10. It landed, before drifting onto the grass and settled off the runway. Officials shut that strip down immediately. There were no injuries in the move, even though it felt rough.
That block stopped takeoffs and landings for an extended period. Cleanup crews moved equipment to the area. Others examined the runway for damage. Later that day, flights resumed takeoffs and landings after the strip reopened.
