A storm system in the Gulf of Mexico may hit Florida over the weekend. The National Hurricane Centre says the chance of it getting stronger stands at 30%. Could bring floods and strong winds. At present, the system is still weak but could increase prior to landfall. Strong rain should hit much of the state. Experts do not think it will reach storm status for now.
