Justin Herbert threw three touchdowns as the Chargers beat the Titans 27-20 despite a pick-six and Joe Alt’s ankle injury.
A short-term memory is integral to success on the gridiron. Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert proved that Sunday.
After throwing a pick-six to linebacker Cody Barton on the second drive of the game, Herbert bounced back to score three touchdowns – two in the air and one on the ground – alongside 250 passing yards on a 65.5% completion percentage, powering the Chargers to a 27-20 victory over the Tennessee Titans.
“It’s always tough, as a quarterback you never want to put your team in a position like that, but it happened early and I think we did a good job weathering the storm,” Herbert said. “It was a weird, kind of a different game for us. A lot of uncharacteristic things, but there’s going to be a lot to learn from it.
