Cybercrime Watchdog to Reopen Inquiries
A corruption scandal involving some officers of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has led to the decision to reopen all inquiries and First Information Reports (FIRs) by the newly appointed director general, Syed Khurram Ali.
The NCCIA DG has sought records of all FIRs and details of properties, vehicles, and assets seized to date, to be submitted by November 3.
- Performance reports from all officers (grade 14-19) are required.
- Officers posted in the Cyber Crime Wing for the last 5 years must submit reports by Monday at 12:00 noon.
