Kildare champions Sallins continued their dominance with a 29-point win in the AIB Leinster Club Intermediate Football Championship Round 1 clash against Carlow champs Grange.
Sallins took the lead from the start, with Luke Killian scoring their first point after 37 seconds. They held a 0-4 to no score lead after just over five minutes of play. Grange's only score of the opening half came in the seventh minute through Patrick Hickey.
Colm Dalton and Cian Grimes further increased Sallins' lead before Luke Kelly was given a black card for an off-the-ball incident, reducing Sallins to 14 men. Despite this, Sallins remained in control and booked their place in the next round against Kilbride (Meath).
The writing was on the wall from first whistle to last.
