The World Health Organisation is facing a crisis of confidence, with trust in international institutions steadily declining due to political bias, inconsistent crisis communication, bureaucratic inertia, and a lack of accountability.
This phenomenon is known as ‘institutional contagion’, a kind of reputation infection. We spoke with Dr Monir Islam about the organisation's crisis of confidence, politics, and moral authority.
