New Hire in Fox Chase Hematology/Oncology Department
Fox Chase Cancer Center announced the hiring of Saumya Maru, MD, PhD, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology/Oncology.
Maru will see patients at Fox Chase, Temple Health – Jeanes Campus and Temple Health – Chestnut Hill Hospital Campus.
She joins Fox Chase from Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she completed her fellowship in medical oncology and served as chief fellow.
Her clinical and research training has provided her with a strong background in translational cancer research and patient care, with particular interest in:
- Gastrointestinal and pancreatic malignancies
- Tumor immunology
- Cancer-associated fibroblast biology
