The Netflix fantasy epic continues its decline with a bloated and mostly boring new chapter.
Liam Hemsworth assumes the role of Geralt of Rivia, previously played by Henry Cavill, and makes for a solid replacement. Initially, it may be distracting, but after a few episodes, Hemsworth's portrayal becomes convincing.
He still knows how to wield a sword, and he still answers most questions with a cranky “fuck.”
The issue with the show lies not with the new lead actor, but with its overall structure, which remains a bloated mess in season 4.
