DAYS Star Suzanne Rogers Opens Up About Cancer Diagnosis
Days of Our Lives star Suzanne Rogers, who has played Maggie Horton since 1973, revealed her cancer diagnosis and subsequent break from the show for treatment.
Rogers, a 52-year veteran of the show, shared her medical crisis in an interview with TV Insider, stating that she sought medical attention after sensing something was off.
Despite routine colonoscopies, her doctor ordered another one, followed by an MRI, a PET scan, and a biopsy, which revealed Stage II colorectal cancer.
He said, ‘You have cancer and you have to start treatment.’ It was all a shock.
Rogers took a leave from the show for treatment, opening up about her real-life medical crisis.
