Imogen Varnham, 35, from Long Sutton, is petitioning for an increase in NHS funding to provide quicker treatment for cancer patients, in fulfillment of her father's dying wish.
Her father, Wayne Delahoy, 61, a keen cyclist and marathon runner, was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in April and passed away on June 3.
He was sent home with a box of paracetamol and a belly full of cancer
Mr. Delahoy had visited a surgery four times, suffering from severe bloating, before taking himself to Peterborough City Hospital A&E, where he was finally diagnosed.
Imogen's family believes that the GPs failed her father by not sending him for testing sooner, particularly given his family history of pancreatic cancer.
