Rory Linkletter, a 29-year-old Canadian Olympian, made a statement with his outfit at the Chicago Marathon elite press conference, wearing a full Canadian tuxedo.
Linkletter will be targeting the Canadian marathon record of 2:05:36 on Sunday, a record set by Cam Levins in 2023.
He fielded questions from the media in a Levi's jean jacket, slim denim jeans, and a long blonde mullet, looking more like he'd just stepped out of a Bruce Springsteen concert.
His appearance was in contrast to other athletes, such as John Korir and Jacob Kiplimo, who wore Nike tracksuits.
