Geothermal Exploration in Aydin, Türkiye
Çelikler has initiated the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process for drilling 11 geothermal exploration wells in two licensed areas in the Sultanhisar district of Aydin, Türkiye.
The project involves drilling six wells in ATG1 and five wells in ATG2, covering a total area of approximately 15,000 m².
The drilling aims to identify geothermal resources and will be carried out in license areas 2023-5 and 2023-6.
Çelikler Sultanhisar Geothermal Electricity Generation Inc., a subsidiary of Çelikler Energy, operates the Sultanhisar Geothermal Electricity Generation Facility, with an installed capacity of 13.80 MWe.
The project is expected to contribute to the geothermal energy production in Aydin.
