Connected Surveying via GeoCloud Drive
Hexagon's GeoCloud Drive is enhancing the data connection between surveyors and the office. Stacey Surveying, founded in 2011, has grown to a workforce of 11, focusing on cadastral surveying.
The company handles subdivisions, boundary realignments, title re-establishments, and feature surveys. According to Robert Lo Pizzo, Survey Manager, some jobs can be challenging, especially in Melbourne's older suburbs.
“We’re sometimes dealing with plans from the 1920s and ’30s,”
Lo Pizzo recalls using survey information from around 1880 in South Melbourne, utilizing old brick corners from houses as datum.
