Despite the outcome of the Bathurst 1000, 8-year-old Connor Moulton has emerged as a winner.
Connor has overcome a 2-year battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, facing numerous side effects and challenges, including losing the ability to walk twice.
The fear that comes with childhood cancer is unlike anything else.
Now cancer-free, Connor's story was showcased at the Bathurst 1000 thanks to V8 SuperUtes driver Jimmy Vernon, an ambassador for the Kids with Cancer Foundation.
Vernon was a friendly face for Connor during his toughest days in hospital.
Author's summary: Connor Moulton wins over cancer and inspires at Bathurst 1000.
