Demidov Leads Habs to 4-3 Win Over Canucks

Rookie sensation Ivan Demidov scored a goal and had two assists, leading the Montreal Canadiens to a 4-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks.

Other goal scorers for Montreal included Nick Suzuki, Juraj Slafkovsky, and Mike Matheson. Goalie Jakub Dobeš made 28 saves to secure the win.

Vancouver's goals were scored by Elias Pettersson, Jake DeBrusk, and Conor Garland. Captain Quinn Hughes and Pettersson each had two assists, while Kevin Lankinen stopped 20 of 24 shots.

The Canucks outshot the Canadiens 11-4 in the first period, with Pettersson opening the scoring 4:42 in.

Pettersson converted a nice return pass from Filip Hronek for his second goal of the season.

The Canadiens will face the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday night.
