GES to Enforce Mother-Tongue Instruction in Schools
Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has instructed the Ghana Education Service (GES) to ensure full implementation of mother-tongue instruction across all schools in the country.
"I have directed the Director-General of the GES to make the use of mother-tongue instruction mandatory in all Ghanaian schools,"
This policy forms part of President Mahama’s broader educational reset agenda, aimed at strengthening the use of indigenous languages in teaching and learning.
