Colonel Crawford Volleyball's Breakthrough Season Ends

The Colonel Crawford Eagles' volleyball team saw their breakthrough season come to an end in the district final against New Bremen.

Despite the loss, the team's future looks promising as they lose only three seniors and return their top statistical leaders in nearly every position.

"In the huddle before we went on that little run, we just talked about the pressure's off," Colonel Crawford coach Jaime Valentine said. "Now just have fun and relax, and that's what they did.

The match against New Bremen, the top-seed and No. 1-ranked team in Division VI, ended in a 25-11, 25-11, 25-18 sweep. The Eagles managed to extend their season by 10 minutes with a five-point run led by freshman Reese Redman's serving.
