Damongo to Host Catholic Science and Technology University
President John Dramani Mahama announced that Damongo will be the site for a Catholic Science and Technology University and a new regional hospital.
These facilities will boost higher education and healthcare delivery in the northern sector and strengthen the government's commitment to expanding access to science, technology, and medical training.
The announcement was made during a courtesy call by Most Reverend Philip Naameh, the Catholic Metropolitan Archbishop of Tamale, at the Presidency in Accra.
Initial funding for the proposed university would come from a grant promised by the President of China.
The project is part of the administration's broader vision of advancing education and innovation through strategic partnerships.
