Art Basel Appoints New Director for Paris Fair

Art Basel has appointed Karim Crippa as the new director of its Paris fair, replacing Clément Delépine who announced his departure last month.

Karim Crippa, who currently leads communications for Art Basel Paris and is a senior editor of the company's editorial platform, has been with Art Basel for seven years.

Prior to joining Art Basel, Crippa held similar roles at the Haus der Kunst in Munich and the Vienna-based digital content firm Treat Agency.

I will do everything in my power to help advance this exceptional show and to remain a tireless advocate for the city of Paris, our exhibitors, partners and Art Basel’s global mission.

Crippa has worked with various stakeholders in the art world, including gallerists, artists, writers, and collectors, for over 15 years.
