Medical Tent Set Up Beside Damaged Hospital in Quake-Hit Manay

In Manay, Davao Oriental, a medical tent has been set up beside the damaged Manay District Hospital.

After Secretary Vince Dizon of the Department of Public Works and Highways declared the hospital unsafe for use, Dr. Bernadette Rivera approached officials clad in red vests from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to discuss the needs of potential patients.

Most patients from the 25-bed hospital have been discharged, and incoming patients will be attended to at the medical tent, which will serve as a field hospital.

Dr. Bernadette Rivera had only one thing on her mind: water.

The medical tent will provide necessary medical care to those in need.
