Conner Mantz became the fastest marathoner in the U.S., finishing fourth overall at the 2025 Chicago Marathon with a time of 2:04:43.
Canada's Rory Linkletter finished ninth overall with a new personal best of 2:06:49.

- The American record Mantz broke had stood for 23 years, previously held by Khalid Khannouchi with a time of 2:05:38 at the 2002 London Marathon.
