Lake George Breaks Ground on New Shepard Park Amphitheater
The Village of Lake George has begun construction on a new Shepard Park Amphitheater, nearly 16 months after a devastating fire destroyed the iconic venue.
The project is being funded through a $1.5 million grant from New York State’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative.
“This is an opportunity for us. And we’re seizing that opportunity today,”said Lake George Mayor Ray Perry.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held, attended by community members, local leaders, and state officials, marking the start of construction on the new and improved outdoor venue.
