Adding Driver's License to iPhone
Residents of 11 U.S. states can add their driver's license or state ID to the Wallet app on their iPhone and Apple Watch.
This feature provides a convenient and contactless way to display proof of identity or age at select airports, businesses, and in select apps.
Requirements
To add a driver's license to the Wallet app, users need an iPhone 8 or later with iOS 16.5 or later, or an Apple Watch Series 4 or later with watchOS 9.5 or later.
Setup
To set up the feature, open the Wallet app, tap the plus sign, select Driver's License and ID Cards, and follow the steps.
Available States
- 11 U.S. states offer driver's licenses in the Wallet app
- Puerto Rico also supports this feature
