The Remote Work Policy – Hybrid Work sets out the principles and process by which employees of the City of Toronto may safely and effectively perform the duties of their position from a remote work location.
This policy is part of the City’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows eligible employees to work from a remote location on an ad hoc basis or as part of a hybrid work arrangement.
A hybrid work arrangement enables employees to alternate between their City work location and a remote work location, as described in the hybrid work program and agreed upon with their people leader.
This policy replaces the previous Remote Work Policy – Hybrid Work, effective January 1, 2026.
