Man Sent for Trial Over €34k Cocaine Find
A man allegedly discovered with almost half a kilo of cocaine was sent for trial to the present sittings of Naas Circuit Court.
Sergeant Dave Harahan explained how gardaí on patrol in Athy stopped a vehicle on Woodstock Street and allegedly discovered the drugs, estimated to have a street value of €34,000 (425g).
- The driver of the car, Jake Cullen (29), made a brief appearance with his solicitor Tim Kennelly for the formal transfer of his book of evidence.
- Mr Cullen has been formally charged on three breaches of the Misuse of Drugs Act – possession, possession with intent to supply, and trafficking.
His legal team will now transfer their efforts to the superior court in Naas.
