In 1968, Brazil’s Institute of Social and Economic Studies conducted a survey on attitudes towards Jewish Brazilians, published in Realidade. The results showed that 63% of respondents agreed that "to a Jew, being Jewish is more important than being Brazilian," and 45% agreed that "Jews bring prejudice upon themselves because they consider themselves different and superior to other people."
