The Henley Passport Index ranks Canada in 9th place for its visa-free access to numerous countries.
According to the index, Canadian citizens can visit more countries without needing a visa than U.S. citizens, with Canadians having access to countries such as Belarus, Papua New Guinea, and Uzbekistan without a visa.
Additionally, Canadians can skip the visa requirement upon arrival in Bolivia and Rwanda.
Henley and Partners attributes the shift to countries imposing reciprocal policies in response to new U.S. visa restrictions or onerous entry requirements.
Author's summary: Canada outranks the U.S. in visa-free access globally.
