Mazur: Law Society Publishes New Guidance for Profession
Following the High Court's judgment in Mazur v Charles Russell Speechlys, the Law Society of England and Wales has published a new practice note for solicitors practising litigation.
The case of Mazur considered whether a non-authorised person is entitled to conduct litigation under the supervision of an authorised person.
The guidance provides a breakdown of the pertinent questions raised from the judgment, including:
- who is authorised to conduct litigation
- what work can be conducted by a non-authorised person
