A German museum has been overrun by Taylor Swift fans due to a painting that resembles the opening scene of her video "The Fate of Ophelia."
The Hessische Landesmuseum in Wiesbaden saw hundreds of additional visitors over the weekend, including a family from Hamburg and American families from a nearby U.S. station.
- The visitors came to see an Art Nouveau painting by Friedrich Heyser featuring Ophelia.
- The painting is inspired by William Shakespeare's play Hamlet.
The museum spokesperson, Susanne Hirschmann, reported the unexpected influx of visitors to The Associated Press.
