Isabella High School's Historical Society Recognized
Isabella High School’s Historical Society has been recognized as an Alabama Semiquincentennial School by the USA Semiquincentennial Commission in Alabama and the American Village.
This recognition is due to the society meeting the set criteria, which includes participating in the America250AL initiative by focusing on patriotism, civic duty, and American history through community projects and coursework.
“It’s the icing on top for this year,”
said Tom McCall, sponsor for the historical society. A semiquincentennial school is recognized for its patriotism and civic duty during America’s 250th birthday.
The Historical Society already incorporates these values into their community projects and coursework, making them an ideal candidate for this recognition.
