Bayer was recently advised that the Missouri Supreme Court would not hear the company's $611 million appeal over glyphosate.
For months, Bayer has been hinting and threatening to pull its signature product Roundup from the market due to lawsuits alleging its key ingredient, glyphosate, causes non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
On May 30, the Missouri Supreme Court declined to hear Bayer’s appeal of a verdict award of $611 million, which was originally $1.56 billion but reduced by the trial judge.
The Missouri Court of Appeals upheld this decision in May 2025.
Bayer’s threats to pull Roundup from the market are being closely watched by observers, including farm groups.
