Afghan Taliban Confirm Border Attacks on Pakistan
The Taliban government has confirmed carrying out "retaliatory operations" against Pakistani troops in multiple locations on the northern border.
Casualties are not yet clear, but the attacks were in response to alleged violations of Afghan airspace by Pakistan, including the bombing of a market on Thursday.
Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said the Afghan attacks were "unprovoked" and civilians were fired at, warning that his country's forces would respond "with a stone for every brick".

Both sides are said to have used small arms and artillery in the Kunar-Kurram region.
