After 10 years, the organisation's founder, Laura Lewis-Paul, and one of its alumni reflect on its successes and the work that still needs to be done.
Founded in a small Bristol office, Saffron has grown to become one of the city's most important cultural forces, redefining who gets to create, perform, and be heard in the music industry.
Laura Lewis-Paul initially imagined Saffron as a community development project, running a creative programme for young people, but it has since evolved into a music tech initiative built by and for women and non-binary people.
