ONE Extends Sustainable Shipping Partnership with Nike
Ocean Network Express (ONE) has extended its partnership with Nike to continue using the ONE LEAF+ sustainable shipping service.
ONE LEAF+ allows shippers to transport cargo on ships using UCOME biofuel, which generates 84% fewer carbon emissions compared to standard marine fuel.
- UCOME biofuel is made from Used Cooking Oil Methyl Ester.
- Carbon emissions are measured "from well to wake".
- Shippers receive a certification of their total carbon emission savings after delivery.
- Shippers can select different levels of carbon emission savings, ranging from 10% to 80%.
ONE provides a certification verified by an independent third party that indicates the shipper's total carbon emission savings.
