Community to Gather at Islander 71 to Honor Firefighters
The community will show appreciation for firefighters on Oct. 23 at the annual Firefighter Appreciation Night at Islander 71.
This annual tradition, hosted by the Isle of Palms Law Enforcement Neighborhood Support Foundation, aims to show love for brave first responders who risk their lives serving the community.

Mayor Phillip Pounds will be a special guest bartender. Isle of Palms Fire Chief Craig Oliverius says:
This is going to be a wonderful event for the littles all the way up through the age brackets—there’s something for everyone. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our firefighters to connect with our community and show our appreciation.
