Update on Living in Love and Faith

The Church of England has issued a press release regarding the Living in Love and Faith process.

The House of Bishops made key decisions on the future direction of this process, which explores relationships, sexuality, and marriage.

Following the 2023 Synod vote, the Church introduced the Prayers of Love and Faith (PLF), enabling same-sex couples to receive public prayers of dedication and blessing.

The PLF are a set of prayers, readings and liturgical material which, for the first time, enable same-sex couples to come to church for public prayers of dedication, thanksgiving and asking for God’s blessing as part of a regular church service.

The House of Bishops reviewed detailed theological and legal advice on outstanding questions at its residential meeting last week.
