China Criticizes US Over "Double Standards" After Trump's 100% Tariff Move
China accused the United States of "double standards" after President Donald Trump announced a new 100% tariff targeting Chinese goods.
"The relevant US statement is a typical example of 'double standards',"
a Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesperson said. The tariffs, set to begin on November 1, are a response to China's new export restrictions on rare-earth minerals, which Trump called "extraordinarily aggressive".
