Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop 300 MW capacity of solar-based renewable energy projects across its establishments in India.
The MoU aims to establish self-reliant, Net-Zero campuses across all strategic DRDO locations by 2027.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Kamat, Secretary of the Department of Defence R&D and Chairman of DRDO, and Santosh Kumar Sarangi, IAS, Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
The project is part of DRDO's efforts to collaborate on the development of solar-based renewable energy projects.
