Hit-and-Run in Brooklyn Leaves 11-Year-Old Boy Critically Injured
A driver struck an 11-year-old boy on a scooter in Brooklyn and fled the scene, leaving the boy in critical condition.
The collision occurred on Ocean Parkway in Gravesend around 5:50 p.m. on Sunday, according to the NYPD.
- The boy was riding a seated electric scooter when he was hit by a black 2026 Acura Integra heading north on the parkway.
- A 25-year-old man walking nearby sustained minor injuries to his left leg from debris from the collision.
The driver abandoned the car after the incident, and the NYPD is investigating the hit-and-run.
