A married couple in Hanahan, Berkeley County, has been charged with crimes including criminal sexual conduct involving a minor and human trafficking, according to the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division.
39-year-old Filipe Novais De Oliverira and 38-year-old Lais Olivetti Silva were charged on Wednesday, October. De Oliverira faces four counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and trafficking in persons, while Silva is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor and trafficking in persons.
The charges were announced by the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division on Tuesday.
