The government shutdown is now in its third week, and lawmakers are no closer to a funding deal. As a result, hearings and markups have been canceled, and work on appropriations and permitting reform has stalled.

"We're not in a good mood here in the Capitol,"said Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), who blames Democrats for extending the shutdown.
